The program USPH (United States Public Health), is integral and one of the important parts of educational process on all three levels of training. The USPH course is devoted to reception by the students necessary knowledge based on American standards of sanitation, personal and professional hygiene of service staff on cruise vessels, establishments of public catering and hotel industry.
Also this course is designed for cruise lines servise staff planning to work on cruise vessels where standards USPH are used (Level 4).
The purpose of the Program:
Maintenance of theoretical and practical training in sanitation, personal and professional hygiene of service staff on cruise vessels.
The course gives the students understanding of the sanitary requirements during preparation of food from various products, to equipment, to workplace, personal hygiene etc.
This knowledge is necessary for qualitative performance by service staff of their professional duties in maintenance of hygiene and sanitation level and also for reduction of risk of food poisonings and diseases.
To impart understanding of responsibility of service staff about observance of hygiene and sanitation requirements.
Study of the program
The course USPH is designed for 30 educational hours. Term of training of the students at the Level 4 lasts 5 days. During this time the students study and examine all aspects of sanitation onboard cruise vessels where USPH standards are used.
On termination of the USPH course the students pass exam in English and after the exam is successful passed they get the appropriate certificate.
